Landschaftsökologische Charakterisierung und Bewertung

Die Ergebnisse der landschaftsökologischen Untersuchung im Einzugsgebiet der Fuhlau zeigen, dass der Nährstoffaustrag von unterschiedlichen Faktoren beeinflusst wird, die Flächennutzung und der Flurabstand jedoch die entscheidenden Rollen spielen. Um die Stickstoffretention zu erhöhen, müssen die Gräben in ihrer Entwässerungs- und die Flächen in ihrer Nutzungsintensität im Sinne eines ökologisch orientierten Landnutzungswandels entschärft werden. Obwohl davon auszugehen ist, dass bei einer Anhebung des Grundwasserstandes in intensiv genutzten Flächen, ein zeitweise erhöhter P-Austrag stattfinden wird, ist eine Wiedervernässung insbesondere der Moorböden der Niederung im Rahmen der WRRL und der FFH-RL erstrebenswert. So würde die Stickstoffretention in dem Feuchtgebiet gesteigert und die Eutrophierung aquatischer Ökosysteme sowie die Mineralisation der Torfressource gestoppt. In diesem Zuge sind Intensivgrünland und Ackerflächen in dem Feuchtgebiet zu extensivieren und es ist dem N-Eintrag über die hängigen Äcker im Westen durch eine Extensivierung entgegenzuwirken. Das Schließen der Gräben, die unter dem Einfluss intensiv bewirtschafteter Flächen stehen, ist vorrangig, um mit der Verlängerung der Verweilzeit des Wassers das Denitrifikationspotenzial in der Niederung zu erhöhen. Inwieweit eine Wiedervernässung auch zu einer Torfakkumulation führen würde, ist unklar und bleibt Gegenstand weiterer Untersuchungen. Fest steht jedoch, dass Mineralisationsprozesse und somit auch die Freisetzung des klimarelevanten Gases CO2 eingeschränkt würden, da diese maßgeblich vom Moorwasserstand abhängig sind. Eine Entschärfung der Gewässerunterhaltung und Wiederherstellung eines natürlichen Gewässersystems der Oberflächengewässer hätte sowohl einen positiven Effekt auf den Nährstoffrückhalt durch die Erhaltung und Förderung des Selbstreinigungsvermögens als auch auf die Artenvielfalt in der Ufervegetation. Bei einer ökologisch angepassten Nutzung können sich auch die Entwässerungsgräben zu Refugien für die Pflanzen- und Tierwelt entwickeln. Mit einer Verringerung der Nährstoffkonzentrationen bestünde zudem eine realistische Chance für mesotraphente Arten der Feuchtwiesen und Kleinseggenrasen, sich in der Fuhlauniederung zu halten, auszubreiten oder neu zu etablieren. Unter den hydrologischen Verhältnisse in der südlichen Loki-Schmidt-Stiftungsfläche bestehen ebenfalls gute Ausgangsbedingungen, den Bestand der Orchidee Dactylorhizamajalis kurzfristig zu stabilisieren und sogar auszuweiten.a:0sadasda
